Filthy Fat!

Bad fat. You know what bad fat is, it's dirty and it's incredibly bad for you. However, you love it. A dirty burger a filthy pizza, onion rings deep fried etc, you get the picture. Most ready meals, take aways and spreadable 'butters' are all BAD. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

The use of artificial trans fat or partially hydrogenated oil - which is industrially produced by adding hydrogen gas to liquid vegetable oil is widespread across the worlds food production chains. The food industry prefers using trans-fat containing oils to healthier oils because it is cheap, it increases the shelf life, promotes flavour, and improves texture. Artificial trans fat is found in pastry, margarines, fried fast foods, baked goods and snack food. It's also damn hard to lose it off your body as it's like plastic!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Trans fats increase the risk of developing cardiovascular diseases such as heart disease and stroke because it raises bad cholesterol (LDL) and lowers good cholesterol (HDL). Thus artificial trans fat is worse than saturated fat, which increases both good and bad cholesterol and is also natural! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

In the US Trans fats are being eliminated from public consumption. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

I"m not saying that you can't eat these foods but have you ever actually cooked your own burger? Made it with real beef and a wholemeal bun? Or your own pizza? Making fake-aways is a far better option than buying this crap, cooking with great fresh ingredients you can still enjoy your favourites they'll just be so much more heathy! SWAP your

weekend 'take away' and make it a 'fake-away'!
